Privacy & Data Collection
What Data We Collect
When you create or view a secret, we collect minimal data necessary for security and functionality:
- Your Secret Content: Encrypted using AES-256 encryption before storage. Automatically destroyed after viewing or expiration.
- IP Addresses: Creator and viewer IP addresses for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- Timestamps: Creation time, expiration time, and view time for functionality and security.
- Optional Password: If provided, stored as a bcrypt hash (not reversible).

Data Retention
